Blimey, it’s August and BT Preservation (Brick-Tie Limited) celebrates its 26th anniversary. Over a quarter of a century of service to clients and successful dealings with our many suppliers and employees.
I can well remember the debate My Dad, brother and I had back in 1986 as we decided to start a limited company, initially to carry out wall tie replacement. I’d been with my Dad’s damp proofing firm for 10 years already and wall ties were a new and exciting development back then.
Brick-Tie Limited was set up with £100 and 26 years later we are still trading with the same core ethics Dad instilled. Dad has passed away and Stuart has gone on to better things, but Julie and I, with the help of our team are as enthusiastic as ever and have exciting plans for the future.
We’ve established ourselves as the trusted company for wall ties, damp, dry rot, basement waterproofing and structural repairs. I’ve seen my small workforce strive to learn new skills as we’ve evolved from ‘just’ a wall tie company, to the multi-skilled company we are now. They’ve become expert in all that they do. I am so proud to lead them.
Well done to all the team at BT Preservation, including past and present members but in particular. My Mum And Dad (June & Stuart), my wife Julie, and brother Stuart. My sister Moira too, who helped us understand the profit/loss and cash flow conundrum, back in the early 90’s – it’s kept us in business Mo – thank you 🙂
Also Katrina, Stuart, Darren, Craig, Ryan, Adrian, new business manager Sean and new technician Peter (he starts on Monday with a safety induction and a day surveying with me).
Thank’s to all our clients past and present, who have had the faith to entrust their surveys and work to us, without support from many surveyors, engineers, architects and other specifiers we wouldn?t have sailed through the ups and downs of the UK economy, this past 26 years.
Thank You All and here’s to the future.
