Though we are busy helping clients across Yorkshire, there is always time to study and improve our knowledge so we can serve clients better!
Last week we hosted a full two day training session on damp proofing and timber treatment of rot and insects. This was provided by The Property Care Association via their PCA qualified technicians course. Neil Marsden presented the course to our team. Neil is well known in the industry as an accomplished trainer with vast knowledge and experience.
Details included health and safety in remedial work, condensation, rising damp, penetrating damp and ‘salt damp’. The timber section included basic timber physiology and the most common pests of building timber. Wet rots, Dry rot, various woodworms and weevils which attack buildings were explained by Neil.
This is a regular training session for existing qualified remedial technicians and new trainees. However, as per usual, we rotate some of our office support team so they can appreciate what technicians need to know and better explain the problems to our clients. Admin assistant Josie Burn was commended by Neil for her quick mind and attention to detail.
As an employee owned business Brick-Tie really are a team. Everyone knows that our success or failure depend on the quality of our service and our high reputation. This is why ongoing learning and revision is at the heart of the quality work we deliver.
You can trust BT Preservation to survey or repair your property. We work hard to make sure that you are delighted at every step through the project. It’s why our remedial technicians and office support members gain so much great feedback from our clients.
Our thanks go to Neil and the PCA team too, who are a great support for us, and the entire industry.
