Celebrating Excellence in Health and Safety

We are delighted to announce that Brick-Tie has been awarded with the Property Care Associations (PCA’s) first ever Health and Safety Award! This recognition celebrates Brick Tie’s outstanding commitment to workplace safety and employee wellbeing. Founder, Bryan Hindle instilled a strong culture of health and safety from day one at Brick-Tie, maintaining and building on that foundation continues to be a key priority for the whole team.
About the Award
The Health and Safety Award, sponsored by Stallard Kane Associates honours organisations within the PCA that demonstrate outstanding achievements in implementing robust safety practices, fostering a culture of wellbeing, and consistently striving for excellence in risk management.
I asked Katie Guiller, Development Director at Stallard Kane, why Stallard Kane chose to sponsor this particular award and what they thought about Brick Tie being the first recipients.
“We know how important strong health and safety practices are in protecting people, supporting businesses, and raising standards across the industry.
By partnering with the PCA, Stallard Kane wants to encourage organisations to place health and safety at the centre of their operations. Sponsoring this award reflects our commitment to promoting best practice, recognising excellence, and supporting those who demonstrate a clear and proactive focus on health and safety.
Together with the PCA, we want to help ensure that everyone understands the value of robust health and safety standards and feels empowered to make them a priority.
Your entry stood out because Brick-Tie clearly demonstrate that health and safety is embedded into their culture, not treated as a tick-box exercise. Their best-in-class documentation, regular PPE checks, and the way health and safety is openly discussed at team meetings show a proactive and mature approach. The judges were particularly impressed by how their Employee-Owned Trust supports an inclusive culture and reinforces the message that health and safety extends beyond physical measures. This is exactly the kind of holistic, people-focused approach to health and safety that Stallard Kane is proud to support and promote across the industry”.
We are extremely proud because this is the first year that Health and Safety has been included in the awards by the PCA. Being the very first recipients is a great honour, as well as a testament to our long-standing commitment to safety at work.

Here is what Sarah Garry, Chief Executive of the PCA, had to say about our fantastic win:
“Good practices are essential to ensure the health and safety of the employees working for our members, and the clients and end-users they provide services for. This year we introduced the new health and safety category to recognise those members who are going the extra mile in their commitment to welfare. As it is judged by an independent group, receiving this award represents true recognition from the construction industry”.
Brick-Tie’s Commitment
